WordPress has been doing a wonderful job with its social media integration. There are many ways to get your WordPress Blog to update your Facebook and Twitter pages, but we here at Nuamps are big fans of the plugin WPBook. We’ve been using it on all of our major blogs. However we ran into some problem in the last few weeks. All of a sudden our updates weren’t showing up anymore….
The update from WPBook 2.0 to 2.1 is a bit of a tricky one.
2.1 is the first version to use Facebook’s OAuth-based authentication protocol, Graph API, and new PHP SDK. This means there are some settings that need to be changed to actively keep your blog and Facebook in sync. Including changing the API Key to an APP ID #, re-granting permissions, enabling OAuth 2.0, and updating profile tabs.
